GEM is the world's leading survey about entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship ecosystems carried out annually in over 50 economies.
This year, the survey will deliver important insights into how the Corona-pandemic has impacted the conditions for entrepreneurs, in Sweden and across the globe.
Has the pandemic hindered new companies to start or created new business models or opportunities? And how do the Swedish population perceive the governments management of the crisis?
The GEM survey is the world’s leading source of data about entrepreneurship for academics, policy makers and entrepreneurs. GEM delivers an index for entrepreneurial competitiveness and insights about the driving forces and obstacles for entrepreneurial growth in over 50 economies over the globe.
GEM began in 1999 as a joint research project between Babson College (USA) and London Business School (UK). GEM is a networked consortium of national country teams primarily associated with top academic institutions.
GEM is the only global research source that collects data on entrepreneurship directly from individual entrepreneurs. GEM tools and data are therefore unique and benefit numerous stakeholder groups such as academics, policy makers and international organizations.
